Georgia Tech School of Music

Music is part of what it means to be at Georgia Tech -- and has been since 1906.

Sure, you can come play in a band, or sing in a choir. We have ensembles for every level and style of musical interest. But we take music and technology to their limits: build your musical and technical education from the ground up by joining our Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. program in Music Technology. We also offer a two-week pre-college program in music technology every summer.

We’re dedicated to making our performances, programs, and research bigger and better every year. We invite you to come be a part of it.

Academic Programs

Our students combine technical skill with exceptional music talent to truly change the way the world experiences music. We are one of the few schools in North America that offers Music Technology as a major in undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. levels of study. Each level builds upon the next, allowing for a unique blend of academic study and innovative research opportunities. Our students use what they learn to go on to careers in a variety of fields, including software development, hardware engineering, acoustics, robotics, automotive audio, and artificial intelligence.

For the student with a passion both for making music and developing cutting edge technology, a degree in Music Technology fulfills a unique space in both artistic expression and technical achievement.
