Georgia Tech School of Music
Through interdisciplinary degree programs, outstanding performance ensembles, and innovative research endeavors, the Georgia Tech School of Music cultivates a rich legacy of musical traditions and develops cutting-edge technologies to help define the future of music.
We’re dedicated to making our performances, programs, and research bigger and better every year. We invite you to come be a part of it.
Future Students
Our students cultivate their musicianship while learning engineering, computing, psychology, and design skills. This helps them envision new ways of creating, performing, and analyzing music. Undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. music technology students work directly with our professors to develop new technologies that redefine how we create, consume, and define music.
Academic Programs
Our students combine technical skill with exceptional music talent to truly change the way the world experiences music. We are one of the few schools in North America that offers Music Technology as a major in undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. levels of study. Each level builds upon the next, allowing for a unique blend of academic study and innovative research opportunities. Our students use what they learn to go on to careers in a variety of fields, including software development, hardware engineering, acoustics, robotics, automotive audio, and artificial intelligence.
For the student with a passion both for making music and developing cutting edge technology, a degree in Music Technology fulfills a unique space in both artistic expression and technical achievement.
