The School of Music and the Center for Music Technology actively collaborate with Georgia Tech's academic and research communities. There's a vibrant culture of invention and interdisciplinary research at Georgia Tech, and the study of music technology benefits greatly from it.

The Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing helps us engage K-12 students.

IRIM

The Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines revolutionizes music-making and advances robotics.

ECE

Our BSMT offers a concentration in signal processing with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

ME

BSMT concentrations in acoustics & vibrations, controls & robotics are with the School of Mechanical Engineering.

Computing

Together with the College of Computing, we offer an undergraduate degree in computational media.

Digital Media

Our collaboration with Digital Media combines work in civic media and digital expression with music technology.

Psychology

We work with researchers in the School of Psychology to turn data into sound.

CABI

The facilities and people at the Center for Advanced Brain Imaging help us understand how the brain perceives music.

BME

The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering help us design musical systems to treat medical conditions.

Invention Studio

Our students work at the Invention Studio to prototype new musical instruments and interfaces.
