Know Before You Go

On March 11th at 7:00pm, our finalists will perform on some of the most innovative musical instruments in the world. These instruments define the next generation of creativity in music, design, and engineering.

At the end of the evening, you (the audience) will be able to vote for your favorites and with feedback from our renowned judges, the 2023 Guthman Musical Instrument Competition winners will be announced.

The Guthman Music, Art, and Technology Fair brings together creators from different backgrounds for an interactive showcase of projects. See work from Georgia Tech College of Design students and friends of the School of Music.

Join us before the concert for this opportunity to engage directly with creators and learn more about their work.

Venue and Parking Information

The 2023 Guthman Musical Instrument Competition concert will be held at Georgia Tech's Ferst Center for the Arts. This venue is home to the School of Music's symphony orchestra, chamber orchestra, symphonic band, and concert band. Through Georgia Tech Arts, it also hosts artists-in-residence at the intersection of art and technology who engage with students and faculty from the entire campus.

If you are also planning on attending the 2023 Guthman Music, Art, and Technology Fair, we advise attendees to use the parking directions for the Ferst Center for the Arts. The fair exhibits and showcase will be in the Klaus Advanced Computing Building, which is a short walk from the Ferst Center.

Concert Seating

Doors at the Ferst Center will open at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 11 for the 2023 Guthman Musical Instrument Competition concert. Your tickets are general admission, so please arrive early to get the best choice of seats.
